The history of the Pheonix River, and it's habitations, stretches far beyond oral tradition and memory. DMs must be familiar with this information, because it is rife with possible adventure hooks. What if the Psionic Lich King Lycurgus were to rise again?

The history of the world stretches pretty far.  But it's probably best to start in the New Stone Age, which is about 10,000 BC on our planet.  The information presented here are from a Romance of the Stone Age perspective, instead of what actually happened.

Olympiad Calender[]

The Ancient Greeks used the Olympiads to count the roll of years. So Alexander Reckoning is replaced by Olympiad Reckoning. The first Olympiad began in 776 B.C. according to our calendar, so that would be abbreviated Ol. 1,1, followed by the second year (Ol. 1,2), and the third (Ol. 1,3), and the fourth (Ol. 1,4). The next year (772 B.C.) is the first year of the second Olympiad (Ol. 2,1). Alexander was born on the 21st day of July in 356 A.D. That would make Ol 104,4 his birth year. This is because, instead of using Yahweh's starting date of the year (which is the Vernal Equinox), the Ancient Greeks used the latter part of August, using the eighth full Moon after the Winter Solstice to mark the Games.

However, the people of the Middle Kingdom rally and force Alexander and his forces back to Alexandria Eschate. Alexander resigns never to go into Qin'ae again. He leaves garrisons at Wa and Erlitou and builds two cities: Alexandria of Wa, and Alexandros on The Yellow.
A.A._27.3 Alexander returns to the conquered lands of Aisha and marries Roxanne. He leads his army deeper into Orc and Lizard man territory.
A.A._27.7 Recieving word that the lands of Aryavarta are having trouble and need his help, Alexander plumbs into Aryavarta. He marches his men south into the Indus and the Hindu Cush.

A.A._34 Parmenio invades Shinar, but is quickly routed by Anaxamander. Cassander consolidates power in Ephesus, while Phillip consolidates his power in the city of Argolis.
A.A._35 Anaxamander expands his Aryavartan holdings.  He founds three centers of power as Helleno-Aryan Kingdoms.
A.A._39 Anaxamander consolidates his power at Antiochus, some fifty miles away from Phaeselis.  This makes the council at Phaeselis nervous.
A.A._40 The Helleno-Aryan Kingdoms become Autonomous, and face invasions from the Naga Empire.  They ask Anaxamandras and Phaeselis for help.
A.A._45 A joint action is undertaken by Anaxamander and the people of Phaeselis to go into Aryavarta.
A.A._47 While the majority of Anaxamander's army is in Aryavarta, Parmenio takes advantage of the weakness and invades Pheonicia.

A.A._52 Phaeselis forces Anaxamander into a Treaty, allowing them to define 50 miles around Phaeselis as the territory of Phaeselis.
A.A._55 Cassander is not seen in court, and his favored eromenos, a 12 year old boy, runs things with great saavy.  The borders become stable for another 60 years.

A.A._65 Golden treasure is discovered in the caverns and catacombs of Phaeselis, and soon there is a gold rush.  The Age of Adventure begins.
