After the invasion and destruction of Arcasia, the Pelagasiri elves settled the land, and renamed it Arcadia.  At first, the Arcasian elves they captured were taken into slavery.  Building a feudal system, the Pelagasiri elves steadily changed from barbarians into Nobles with the elves they captured becoming serfs and slaves.  Over time, however, the population merged and they became entirely new.

They referred themselves as the Elves of Arcadia or the Highborn.   Eventually the Ionan Humans and the Danaan humans called them the Arcadian Elves.  Those outside of Ionian lands called them the High Elves.  The High Elves are lordly, callous, overbearing towards humans, and show disdain to most of them.
