Goreclaw the Ravenous from WoW (and the WoW Wiki).

There are several types of creatures called raptors which are dinosaurs (Dromaeosaurs, actually) on Lemurias.  These range in colors and sizes and all can make good pets for rangers and hunters.  There are a few of these animals in the countryside adjacent to the city.

Raptors of Aisha[]

Raptors are large, aggressive theropods (this means, they stand upright on two large hind legs in a bird-like fashion).  They range in size from about the size of a chicken (velociraptor) to a whopping fourteen feet from foot to the top of the thigh.  Domesticated raptors as large as a horse are sometimes used by the lizardmen and those of the Bloodtalon tribe of orcs as mounts.

Raptors are found in Cassandras, the southern lands of the Orc Horde, among the Anthrosavroi and the Sakkas, deep in the jungles of Aryavarta, and roming the countryside of Anaxamandras.  Raptors have been observed to be very intelligent, although modern attempts at domesticating them have failed thus far.  Although they can be tamed by druids, rangers, and hunters.

Raptors come in many colors, from green-striped red to yellow-striped turquoise. A raptor’s tail extends straight out, held aloft by an intricate structure of bony supports, thus allowing its weight to be carried entirely by the back legs. Raptors weigh about 600 pounds and use a combination of speed, grasping forearms, large teeth, and hind legs with ripping talons. They hunt by running at prey, leaping, and ripping with their rear talons as they claw and bite. A raptor has a relatively large brain for a dinosaur, and its pack hunts with cunning tactics.

As swift and agile as it is deadly, the deinonychus is a pack hunter, running with several of its kind to take down prey and rip it apart with their gutting talons.

You can apply the young simple template to create statistics for smaller, more agile velociraptors. Conversely, you can either increase the deinonychus to Large size and its Hit Dice to 8 or simply apply the giant and advanced simple templates to create a formidable megaraptor.
